Sometimes I’ve just gotta shoot the shit with you peeps about the dumbwits that are out there. But before I get started on this let’s just quickly take a look at the facts. You can read a bit about it here where PeTA talks about closing their account. There is NO graphic images at that link.
If you just want to know the 411 about what the CEO of GoDaddy did, he went to Zimbabwe and shot and killed an elephant for sport. Now that he’s getting the righteous shit that he should for being such a loser he claims that he did it because the elephant was a rogue elephant and trampling farmers fields etc, etc.
That’s all lies. It would have cost him thousands of dollars and some time to set up such a big game hunting trip. Not only is he a coward for shooting an elephant in cold blood. An elephant that is one of the most gentle creatures on earth, but he’s also a lame shit liar now trying to put some PR spin on his total lack of conscience.
If that’s not bad enough, just heading over to the PeTA website made me realize that the Canadian seal slaughter has just begun, and that’s not April Fool’s joke. Jesus, can it get worse? That’s a rhetorical question, of course it can.
Anyway, so PeTA immediately cancelled their account at GoDaddy, and I spent time yesterday transferring my domains that I had at GoDaddy to different domain registrars. I personally won’t use GoDaddy ever again for any purpose unless they make a full and complete apology with a promise not to do such cruel and unnecessary barbaric acts at all, ever again.
I wanted to share this video with you just to lighten up the mood and also because although the video doesn’t explicitly speak to this issue but the refrain is my swan song for Bob “the bastard” Parsons. Enjoy!
Anyway, if you bloggers out there host or register your domain through GoDaddy then it’s time to give it up. Honestly, their continued upsells are ridiculous and this is just the blood on the sword that has to be dealt with.
Now as a vegan I find this horrific and barbaric, but even just as a regular human being, the amount of idiocy and ignorance out there by some people continues to astound me. That someone thinks that hunting of any sort, but especially a gentle, endangered species like the African elephant is fun and that he’s doing Zimbabweans a service is so messed up I’ve got to question their business acumen and especially their humanity.
As Gandhi once said; “… the life of a lamb is no less precious than that of a human being.” and “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
He was a wise man and I hope that we’ll all get to that place someday. But at the very least can we stop shooting things and letting blood. In the meantime, you’ve gotta stand for something or you’ll fall for anything and at the very least, get your money away from GoDaddy, there are tons of other domain registrars out there.
