They’re both good, though I eat from the regular vegan brownies recipe more often than the gluten free vegan brownies recipe.

But if you can’t have my regular vegan brownies I know you will love the gluten free brownie recipe that is obviously free of eggs and butter too. A zero cholesterol gluten free brownie. And I’m sure you will find them both to be the best vegan brownie recipe you’ve tried. It will certainly be an easy brownie recipe vegan or not.

Okay, let’s stop dilly dallying and dig in.

Vegan brownie bars from mars
This will make about two dozen best tasting vegan chocolate brownies and a couple of the ingredients are optional. This is the regular vegan brownies. The gluten free brownies are below.

1 and 1/3 cup of flour
1/2 tsp of baking soda
1/2 cup of vegan margarine
1 cup of sugar
3 tbsp of oil
1 package of firm Mori Nu silken tofu
1/3 cup of cocoa powder unsweetened
1 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
2/3 cup of chopped walnuts if desired
2/3 cup of vegan chocolate chips if desired

Preheat your oven to 350. Combine flour and baking soda in a medium bowl and put aside.

In a food processor blend the margarine, sugar and oil for about 2 minutes or until the mix is light and fluffy. Next add in the tofu and blend for another couple of minutes.

Add the cocoa powder and the vanilla and process until just mixed. Don’t overdo it.

You can now either keep the mix in the food processor and blend in the dry ingredients a bit at a time or you can do that by hand in a bowl.

Regardless, once the dry has been mixed into the wet pour the mixture into a bowl if it is not in one already and mix in the nuts and chocolate chips if you’ve chosen to use them.

Grease a 9 x 12 or 13 baking pan and pour the mixture into the pan and shake to flatten it and even it out.

Bake for about 25 minutes though I like to check it at around 20 minutes. You’re looking for a toothpick inserted into it to come out just about clean. Enjoy.

Best tasting super moist gluten free vegan brownies for hungry tummies

1/2 cup of brown rice flour
1/2 cup of tapioca starch/flour
1/3 cup of almond flour
1/2 tsp of baking soda
1/2 cup of vegan margarine
1 cup of sugar
3 tbsp of oil
1 package of firm Mori Nu silken tofu
1/3 cup of cocoa powder unsweetened
1 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
1 cup of coconut

Preheat your oven to 350 and grease and set aside a 9 x 12’ish baking pan.

Mix the gluten free flours with the backing soda and set aside. In your food processor mix together the margarine, sugar and oil until fluffy. Then mix in the tofu until well blended.

Add the cocoa powder and vanilla extract until just mixed and then add in the flour mix from your bowl in little bits until well mixed.

Pour the batter into a bowl and mix in the coconut if you feel like using coconut. You can also use gluten free chocolate chips and/or walnuts if you like too, in that case use only about a 1/2 cup of each.

Pour into the baking pan and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes. Enjoy these best gluten free brownies that are also vegan and cholesterol free!

  1. Thanks for this idea…I made these today replacing the margarine with 90 gr. olive oil (not a big fan of hydrogenated fats)…they were perfect!

    1. Glad to hear it Jack.

I’ll have to try that myself. The margarines I buy don’t have any hydrogenated fats. I agree with you on that. They should be avoided totally.

      Best,

      Jason
